چھینکنے والے شخص کے لیے
"الحمدللہ" کہو
اس کا مطلب ہے "تمام تعریفیں اللہ کے لیے ہیں۔"
یہ چھینک سے نجات یا برکت کے لیے اللہ کا شکر ادا کرنے کا اظہار ہے۔
چھینک سننے والوں کے لیے
"یرحمک اللہ" سے جواب دیں
اس کا مطلب ہے "اللہ تم پر رحم کرے۔"
چھینک آنے والے کے لیے رحمت کی دعا ہے۔
چھینک آنے والے شخص کے لیے (جواب کا جواب)
"یھدیکم اللہ و یصلح بالکم" کہو
اس کا مطلب ہے کہ "اللہ آپ کو ہدایت دے اور آپ کی حالت درست کرے۔"
یہ برکتوں اور دعاؤں کے باہمی تبادلے کو مکمل کرتا ہے۔
حدیث کا حوالہ
یہ آداب متعدد احادیث پر مبنی ہے، جیسے کہ ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے روایت کی ہے، جہاں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا
جب تم میں سے کسی کو چھینک آتی ہے اور اللہ کی حمد و ثناء کرتا ہے تو اسے سننے والے ہر مسلمان پر فرض ہے کہ وہ اس سے کہے: یرحامک اللہ۔ یَھْدِیْکُمُ اللّٰہِ وَیُسْلِحَ بِالْعَالَمِیْن کہے۔" (صحیح بخاری و مسلم)
To someone who sneezes
Say "Alhamdulillah"
This means "All praise is due to Allah."
This is an expression of gratitude to Allah for relief or blessing from sneezing.
For those who hear a sneeze, respond with "Yarhamuk Allah"
This means "May Allah have mercy on you."
A prayer for mercy for the one who sneezes
For the person who sneezes (reply to the answer)
Say "Yahdikam Allah wa yasalah balakam"
This means "May Allah guide you and rectify your condition."
This completes the mutual exchange of blessings and supplications.
Hadith Reference
This etiquette is based on several Hadiths, such as the one narrated by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), where the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said.
When one of you sneezes and praises Allah, it is obligatory upon every Muslim who hears him to say to him: “May Allah have mercy on you. May Allah guide you and arm you with the worlds.” (Sahih Bukhari and Muslim)
